The news, forums, blogs and galleries are all now free access to anyone who registers, a membership fee is only payable if you want to participate in the our competitions and the member only events we will run from time to time. Any discounts we arrange with suppliers, such as those available at RDSports for kit and equipment, will also be exclusive to fully paid members. The new membership fee structure will be announced shortly and it will be tiered so you will have a choice of levels.
The current founder membership status has been extended to January 1st 2009, so don't delay if you want to take advantage of the £5 lifetime membership offer. As we promised at the start founder members will retain full access to all future site services.
As well as our new fee structure we will make a major announcement about our next event in the next few weeks and we know if you are a hockey fan you will want to be part of it. The event will provide funds for charity as well as funds that we can channel into grass roots hockey.
We will be running a number of competitions during the season with prizes for full members. Basic members will be able to test their skills as well but wont be eligible for the prize awards. If you though we will upgrade your membership for free.

U15 Team takes High Score lead
Youngsters show the way in European Zone High Score Competition.
The young Ladies of Wakefield Hockey Club now lead this seasons high score competition with a fine 21 in the first round of the England Girls U15 Cup. They take over from Ramgarhia 2's of Ne14Hockey Div 9SE who's best was 19 We are almost at last years winning total of 22 and barely a month into the new league season. It looks like someone might need 30 this season to take the title, is your team up for it? If you have already beaten 21 you need to tell us so we can check out your claim and put you to the top of the leaderboard.
To celebrate the fact that NE14Hockey.com has gone worldwide we are offering 5 trophies not 1. We have split the world into 5 playing zones so wherever you play, at whatever level, send us your high score entry and we will see if you qualify as one of our 5 winners.
We will award one trophy in each of the following zones
Americas, North and South, Chile U21 lead with 19
Australia, New Zealand and The Pacific. Canterbury Men NZ lead with 9
Asia no entries yet
Europe Wakefield U15 Girls have 21
Rest of the World no entries yet
If your team nets a hat full of goals tell us because you could become 1 of our high score champions of 2008/ 2009 This competition is for bragging rights and a trophy for each zone.
We will also be running regular big prize competitions every month. Several members won 100's of pounds worth of kit last season and Upminster won our £500 sponsorship competition last September.
